Vintage Solid 18k Yellow Gold Native American Wolf Kachina Pendant

Growing up in Arizona the Kachina is seen everywhere, a very powerful and well known respected figure not just for Native American Pueblo tribes like the Hopi, Zuni, and Navajo but all native Arizonans alike. At the core the Kachina belief is the sacred idea that all things in the universe posses an essence or life force. The kachina encompasses 3 distinct forms; the spirit being, the masked dancer, and the doll. This particular pendant is a dancing wolf kachina, one of the coolest and most fierce warriors of the desert animal kingdom. Ceremonially dancing with gourd rattle and ax in hand this was meticulously hand carved with every little detail being imagined out of wax then cast out of solid 18k yellow gold. A heavyweight of 14.6g and just under 2” long with fixed circular bail this piece is fully 3D all the way around. This is not to be worn or looked at just as a pendant but a talisman between this physical world and the spirit of the gods.
