Mid-Century Solid 14k Yellow Gold Heavyweight Turquoise Thunderbird Signet Ring (11.5)

My favorite piece out of the large southwestern collection that was found this was artisan handcrafted sometime around the mid 1900’s using old world sand casting techniques out of fully solid 14k yellow gold. Made in different sections the base of the signet ring was fully cast and hand carved with a flat top then a hand cut thick Thunderbird was perfectly applied set in the middle of the ring is a triangular slab of light green brown matrix turquoise. The Thunderbird a triumphant symbol of power, strength, and protection from the vital forces of nature is revered in native southwestern beliefs. A large size on the mandrel at 11.5 and a heavyweight of 19.3g with a prominent build of 16mm this piece is a true show stopper.
