Straight out of the vintage collectors jewelry guide is one of the most infamous pieces of jewelry ever created. Crafted sometime around the mid 1800’s Victorian era out of 19.7k yellow gold (XRF tested as shown in picture #29) is this fierce and fabulous woven flexible snake band. With a variety of uses whether wrapped around the neck or arms you will be the standout of the ball. Perched atop the head of the snake is a natural old mine cut diamond and emblazoned with ruby eyes the snake measures just under 24” end to end and weighs in at a hefty 34.4g with a circumference of the main body at approximately 6.5mm x 5mm. Though this piece isn’t hallmarked I have seen it in the old jewelry books looking exactly like this and made by the likes of Tiffany and co. Extremely rare and hard to find if you are lucky enough to find one I can assure you it will not be priced this well and more often then not you find these at lower karats of gold. A true museum piece this is the epitome of a top tier collectors piece. For being around 175 years old this piece is in good wearable condition despite having minimal wear and tear in a few spots as shown in the pictures but should be nothing to turn you away from this beauty.
