I’ll be the first one to admit when I don’t know something and this ring has eluded my knowledge. I have seen thousands of different hallmarks from all over the world and the way this ring was put together by hand and the specific makers mark has got me spinning my brain. This piece is absolutely bad ass, I’ve had it for months and still can’t figure the mystery out but this is what I do know…Crafted by hand sometime at least 100 or so years ago out of solid 14k yellow gold it was made in what looks like 4 different parts put together and bonded into one as you can slightly see by the inside of the ring. With a large antique fully faceted style (unlike any cut I’ve ever seen) natural ruby probably around .75ct the brutalist nugget textured finish style top has a rub over style holding the gemstone securely in place. A smooth and comfortable satin finish with rounded donut band shank fitting around a size:7.75 weighing 8.5g with a broad width on the finger of about 13MM. I can’t be for certain but I feel like these are European markings possibly Nordic in nature, my lack of knowledge on this unique piece is most certainly your gain as im selling it priced as any regular antique ring of this style so there’s only up to go from here. All of that being said no matter what the mystery is of where this ring was made finding an old solitaire ruby gypsy ring of this caliber is not common in the slightest. A piece that I would truly keep and wear myself, Who knows it might already be in my personal jewelry box being kept on ice safe and sound until it sells.
