Crafted in the 1930’s by one of the best ring makers of the early 20th century, Larter and Sons, out of Newark, Nj. This art deco era solid 14k yellow gold signet ring is in excellent condition for being nearly 100 years old and you do not see that often with gents rings of this caliber. Hand carved out of carnelian stone wearing his winged helmet is the Greek god Hermes. The Ancient Greek god of commerce, travelers, thieves, sports, and language who serves as the swift messenger of the Gods. Renowned for his cleverness and winged sandals he is the only Olympian who can cross freely between the boundaries of the mortal, divine, and underworld realms. Securely bezel set with strong recessed border and carved detail shoulders that cross the full underside band this ring is a size:11 on the mandrel and weighs in at a heavyweight of 14.7g with a large presence on the knuckle of 18MM. An heirloom piece that you will be remembered for wearing and have the opportunity to pass down to future generations so they also can be remembered for the same.
