This exquisite piece of ancient antiquity is a silver denarius coin from approximately 178 to 191 A.D. Depicting the bust of Bruttia Crispina who was the Roman empress as the wife of Commodus (being married off when she was only 12 and he 16 like most marriages at its time). Having made it to only 27 years of age before her death she was known for her gracefulness and having a susceptible heart. This handcrafted solid 14k yellow gold bezel pendant was made specifically for this coin and encrusted with a large natural raw emerald. Weighing in at at a total of 5g with a larger fixed bail and approximately 1.25” x .75”
